full time 4wd to part time 4wd

I bought a 4wd drive that had full time but the people i bought it from have tried converting it 3 times i think and it only works awhile i was thinking that it was becuase thy were not using the kit and were trying to do it from other parts. Anyone have a solution or know what the problem is?

Swap in an NP205 transfer case.

just buy the kit it is less than 50

well do you have lock out hubs? if not there is your problem. Buy the kit, or do the np 205 swap. They are nice.
