transfer case swap

i have a 1980 gmc with an auto transmission and a 205 transfer case is it possible to swap it with a 205 transfer case from a 4 speed manual transmission.

I'm pretty sure that your spline counts on the input shaft of the t-case will be different, so that would mean "no."
