Rebuilding NP203
« on: January 31, 2005, 02:56:00 PM »
I managed to grenade the NP208 I installed on my truck, so it's looking like I'll end up going back to that giant behemoth that was in there originally. I still have the driveshafts and everything for it, but it's not in the best of shape. Has anyone ever torn into one before? I pulled all the information I could find on it from Mitchel, but that's really not much. Looks like it's full of roller bearings, and other fun stuff. I saw that Mile Marker makes a part time conversion that replaces the rear output shaft completely, so I will be ordering that kit, as well as new seals, bearings, and chain. Anyone know if I'll need any special tools, or have any tips/tricks?

It has been a LONG time since I have fooled with the NP203, but I don't remember any specialty tools.
