front spindle

I am wondering if the front spindle assemly on a 1978 chevy 4x4 is the same spindle as a 1981 spindle? Both are 1/2 ton.Also is there a website that list parts that are the same for trucks of different years? thx

Not sure what year but they do change right in that area. I tried putting one on my 84 from a 78 and it was shorter buy about 1/2".
