registration weight

Does anyone know how much my 1975 GMC 1/2 ton 4x4 stepside pickup weighs with a 350 v8. I need to know so I can get the correct plates.

In Louisiana, all 1/2 ton trucks that I have seen have been listed at 6,000 pounds.

go to your local dump and ask them to weigh you.
