I want a ballpark MPG number for a well running 350 TBI or carb Suburban. Thanks.... Bill

Well, the words gas mileage and suburban do not go together. It is more like gas yardage.

But, to answer your question, my 91 suburban with overdrive gets about 14.8 mpg on the interstate.  In the city, well, it is more like 10 mpg. It is all stock TBI 5.7. It is a 4x4 3/4 ton truck.

Hope this helps.

My 89 350 tbi 1/2 ton 2wd sub was getting about 13-14 in the city. Never went out on a long trip before I stripped it so I don't know about highway.

well my 88 tbi k5 blazer gets about 15 mpg all day long city or hwy , and it has a 3in. lift with 33in tires so 14-15 with a stock suburban isn't bad.

My dad's '87 K20HD with 350 TBI, TH400 and 4.10's gets around 13-15. Pretty good for such a big truck.

Dude, this thread is nearly two years old.  Digging up some old stuff covers up the new stuff.

Yeah, its good to see people doing searches and browsing several pages back, but check the dates before you revive a topic please..if its a problem and you have a question directly related to an old post, I can't see the harm in reviving somthing like that..
