Van/Truck parts swappable?
« on: April 24, 2006, 10:19:00 am »
I have a 86 C1500 truck that I'm restoring as a daily driver.

Can I swap any van parts/components (e.g. bumpers)?

I belive the vans unibody / frame rails are farther apart, there fore the bolt holes will probably not line up.

Some people are like Slinkies. Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs

Blazin is correct, the bumpers are different.  The mounting holes are different, thus not allowing the bumpers to interchange.

if you want to do some welding ,you could weld up the holes and cut new ones in the correct location.i did this with my blazer, when i put a step bumper on it.
