windshield woes
« on: April 30, 2006, 09:31:00 pm »
my truck is an 86 k20.The wind shield leaks. It was replaced a few years ago and has leaked ever since. It needs to be replaced again But I want to solve this problem. This windshield looks rounder in the corners that the frame so the seal is pulled away from the frame.
Any ideas ?

Sounds like it may not be seated all the way. I would recomend a new gasket this time around.

Some people are like Slinkies. Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs

HAS BODYWORK EVER BEEN DONE AT THE EDGE OF THE WINDSHIELD, EXESSIVE BODY WORK MIGHT NOT LEAVE THE GASKET TO SEAL PROPERLY! I AGREE TRY CHANGING THE GASKET THIS TIME.
