Changing beds/ gas tank
« on: October 15, 2006, 04:31:00 pm »
I have an oppurtunity to get a nice bed to replace my rusted one on my 76 fleetside, which has a round gas hole on the R/H side. The replacement has square door on the L/H side. Can the gas tank get switched to driver side without any issues, or can a hose run under bed from sguare door to the tank without problems such as the exhaust. Thanks guys, Rich

You should be able to switch your tank to the other side with no problem.

They make them Universal for Sides, There is nor LH RH when you buy tanks for that.

Hope that helps

You will need to swap the tank brackets front to back.

Some people are like Slinkies. Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs

I would also check the filler neck size vs what you have, and run a hard line across the frame for the supply/return lines.
