What is correct color?
« on: March 29, 2007, 09:38:00 pm »
I'm going to refurbish the interior of my 1980 GMC Sierra, with new door panels, arm rests, seat belts and maybe dash.  I would say the original (now very faded) interior color was some version of "tan".  When I look at replacement parts from  , Brothers, etc, the following colors are available (varies by supplier): tan, saddle, light buckskin, dark buckskin.  Is there no consistency in these color schemes?  I would like everything to match the best I can.  Any thoughts?

Is there anything wrong with your current pieces (dash, door panels, arm rest, trim)?  If not, if you want it to actually match, do like the factory did and paint it.

Check this article out on how:

BTW, we sell alot of the parts that the other companies sell also.  If is isn't listed int he catalog, shoot us an email and we can get you a quote.

There is no Fisher Body tag for pickups.  You will have to look up your RPO code in the glovebox to find what came on the truck.

Camel Tan is the name of the tan that was used on the 80 pickup if that is what you are looking for, but from experience, if you want everything to match, you are going to have to paint it.
