Well, thought I would introduce myself too considering I'm new. Name's Allen, 17 yrs old, living in Virginia. I own a 1980 Custom Deluxe 4x4 with a pretty good body, also a 2" Add-a-Leaf with 33's. TH400, with a 350 in it. Absolutely love these trucks, since I was a kid and my dad and brother owned them. (My dad a 1979, and my brother a 1978, and now my brother-in-law a 1973). Considering pictures after I get the fenders on!

Just wanting to introduce myself. My name is Josh and I live in Marysville, WA, I am 28 years old, I love long walks on the beach and spending time listening to women talk about crap like sewing, makeup and hair. For those of you who are dense, I am just kidding!

I have a 1978 C-10 Big 10 with 392,000 miles, I just rebuilt the motor and the th350. I ended up with a 383 stroker with all forged goodies - flat top pistons and a performance cam and crank, and the th350 got a shift kit and some extra clutch packs - I think?

I just had the truck lowered today. They used a 5/6 belltech kit and we are putting wheels on this next week.

Before all this other stuff, the truck recieved new front fenders in '91 along with new rear quarter panels and a new dashpad as well as a new paint job. About 2 years ago we had the seat reapolstered and I put in new carpet as well.

My grandfather bought the truck brand new in 1978, and when he passed my father got the truck in 1994, then my dad passed in 2003 and now the truck is mine.

Future plans are to repaint the vehicle a black pearl, getting rid of all the trim on the sides and redoing the interior black as well. Right now the truck has the factory 2-tone red-white-red with all of the crome bits and pieces.

Hey im Bob, I live in northern California. Im 19 years old. I drive a 1999 Chevy Silverado Z71, but my pride and joy is my 83 Chevy C10 pickup, bought it not running from my grandparents since then I have lowered it, put a 300hp crate motor in it, which i have just upgraded with heads and cam, and exhaust. 4:11 gears out back with an eaton posi, and a B&M ratchet shifter on a built 700r4 with a 2500 stall. If i am not workin on that i am makin my money to put into that by doing drywall. Or ridin my 00 yz426f. I love to do anyrthing that scares me, or gets my adrenaline rushing.

Well, this seems like as good a place to start as any.

I'm pretty new to all this.  I'm 22, have been a fan of these trucks for years.  Paying for university has put off buying a truck until now, so I bought two this spring.  One is an 85-ish Chevy 4X4 that is bits and pieces of everything, lots of good parts to salvage and sell.  The other is an 85 GM K-35, regular cab, single rear wheel, 454, 4 spd manual.

It is nice to see that there are lots of people out there with a similar appreciation for great trucks.

I figure its about time to introduce myself - been a member for 2 months. I'm 36, Mom to 3, stepmom to another 3, I live in Glendale, AZ, working fulltime for church org., and engaged to 21-years Army veteran who is currently deployed to Iraq. About 2 months ago, I purchased a 1986 Chevy 4x4. This has been my dream truck for the longest time, since I grew up in the 80's. Now the fun part is modifying the truck to make heads turn. It'll be interesting since all I know is how to change the oil, tires, air filters, and drive a truck! What would be really awesome is while my fiance's overseas, to have a total overhaul on the truck and present it to him for all he's done for me, our kids and our country! Of course, I'll be borrowing it from time to time.
Thanks and hope to visit this forum from time to time.

Hey, I'm Nate from southeastern Indiana. I'm 15 yrs old and last year I purchased a 1975 Custom Deluxe 20 for $1700 at local farm machinery show auction.  It has a 350 with a granny 4 speed manual transmission. It has very little rust, which is unusual here in Indiana. It has only 60,000 miles on it—still got the original tires on it….the one back one seems to be wearing off awful fast if u kno wat I mean   :lol   :rollin It's 61 Grecian bronze, which I like because it’s the only truck I’ve seen around here that is that color. It was completely stock and original when I got it. Since then I’ve put headers, new edelbrock car, alum. Intake and dual exhaust. Some year when I am out of school I would like to fix the little amount of rust it has and cherry it out but that takes a lot of time and $- 2 things I don’t have. I am currently working on painting the rims that it has white again because they were kinda rusty and dirty. Another 7 months and I’ll have my license so that will be nice to actually have it be legal for me to drive my truck on the road, but at least this way it should be all good to go once I have my license.

My name is Frank. I live in the Old Dominion. From reading other posts it appears I  have kids older than most of the people that use this cool site. I have 2 daughters and 2 grandsons and a 1 granddaughter. Been married almost 33 years to my high school sweetheart. I work in a paper mill but spend most of my spare time (when not with my grandkids) playing good old rock and roll in a local band. The rest of the time I work on my 78 C10 short bed. I have had it for several years but just now starting to tear it down and rebuild it. I enjoy reading all the posts and have found a lot a very useful stuff from you very talented and experienced truck builder/lovers. Thanks for all the good stuff.

Hi.  The names Jason.  25 years old.  I live in SoCal.  I'm married, three kids.  I work in the heavy construction industry.

I had a few square bodys in my day.  Slamed C-30 crew cab duallys are my true loves.  Have one, on the lookout for another.

Past rides, huh?  Well, I'll keep this relevant.  I had a dumped 79 swb, 350/350 on 15" ralleys.

I also have a slamed 87 C-30 crew cab.  I've had it since high school.  Blown 454 (blown as in blown-up, not supercharged).  Thinking about unloading it.  Thought about rebuilding the motor, but it's a rusted out, stripped truck.  Not very family freindly anymore.

88 3/4 ton Suburban.  Stock suspension on 33's for now.  4 inch lift on 35's is in the works.  Super clean.  I'm the second owner.

Currently looking for a CLEAN 87-91 crew cab dually.

Any of you guys with C-30 duallys, check out www.duallyscene.com.  That's where Pig Rig and Myself hail from.  Good group of guys over there.  Tell em PigRig and JCam sent ya.
