what all do i have to change in order to fit a 278H cam into my 350 if anything..

Who's 278 Cam? If the heads are stock and the lift is over .480" you will need to change the valve springs and you will need new lifters to go with the cam.
Of course if you are changing it out, you are going to need new gaskets etc.

personally, I would get new springs. How old are the existing ones? You could also get them checked.
