th400 kickdown
« on: June 20, 2007, 08:18:12 am »
Having installed a th400, wiring the kickdown, attaching the part to the gas pedal, when i push the pedal all the way down, it does not touch the bolted on part.  Would i need the pedal assy from the donor vehicle?

83 Chevy S/N
454, 400....(almost ready)!!!

thanks
willie

Going from memory here... I believe you pull back the spring loaded plunger on the switch and let go. Worked last time I did it, 15 years ago. and still downshifting haven't had to touch it since.

Good luck.

If the arm isn't working the switch at or near WOT than something isn't right.Let me see I should have a pic somewhere.
