Converting my 74 C-10 to 4wd?

Hey guys! I have a few questions so im going to lay em out.

What do I need to convert my Olds 350 / Universal TH-350 2WD to a SBC 406 / Manual Tranny 4 spd (whatever kind is best you tell me) and go 4WD?

The truck was a Manual Tranny in the first place only it had a 6 cylinder 250, so I dont have to cut the floor. If anyone here has the know on what kind of stuff works best (ex: year/model truck to pull the gear from) just let me know and I will be greatly appreciative. I am so new to the Truck scene its not funny.

Oh and I need to keep this pretty cheap. Im shipping out in 2 months so I have about $1000 to play with.

Get a 4x4 chassis and swap your body onto it.
