Orange?
«

Hi all,
I have a 75 Scottsdale that was (I assume) red with the white side stripes. Through the years, well...it's orange now with white sides stripes. I'm thinking about just repainting it a brighter orange and leave the stripes.
What do ya think??? Anyone have pics of something similar? I'm very open to suggestions.
God bless,
Matt

Is this a Holloween joke??? I just can't beleive that someone would make their truck that color on purpose.

It's already orange. It would be just "restoring" it to the original color? right? Besides, keeps me from having to paint inside the cab and under the hood.
Orange it is!!
Thanks!

All the orange trucks around here belong to VDOT.

Get a picture of your truck scanned and hook up with somebody that has Photoshop and knows what they're doing. I always get my friend to play around with my vehicles to help me pick what colors to paint them.

Hey thanks!
I never thought about that. I bought my wife a great digital camera last year. I should have thought about that earlier (me being a geek anyway). I've spent 21 of my 32 years of life on a pc. Go figure...

Red trucks are like a-holes...everybody has one.
Orange, when the right color orange, will look awesome...and different...why be like everyone else?

I think you should paint it Kawasaki green if you don't want it red like "everyone else." I bet nobody has one that color either.

I think we should VOTE on it! Or you could paint it French Beige. Looks good on a color chart! on a vehicle it turns out PINK!

Orange or Red?

My 74 is the factory 'Crimson Red'. I'm guessing yours is similar because 1/2 the people that have seen mine say it's orange & the other 1/2 say red. I agree w/you about not having to mess w/painting the doorjambs, so, if the jambs are in decent shape, get a paint shop to match the color as close as possible & keep it simple (if there is such a thing).
