Latest project
« on: September 06, 2007, 05:53:56 am »
Its not a Chevy but, when I am getting paid to work on them I don't really care what brand they are.
Just click on the back arrow to the right of the pic., and you can see the whole project as it progressed.
Finished pics are a bit blurry as it was getting dark and camera was set on night time. Still have to pin stripe it, will get better pics then.

Plus a sneak peak at my next project, also not a Chevy, but old so its cool. 72 F250 from California. Some rust in the roof but other than that its real clean.

Sort of. At the present time I don't have a shop of my own, but do allot of paint work for a friend that has a truck repair shop. He rents his building from a guy that has a concrete business. I do all his paint work too, and can use both of their shops for my own projects as well. The 250 belongs to the guy that owns the concrete business. When I am not doing that I do handy man / carpentry / Ceramic tile, and plow in the winter months too.

Thanks Chris, that is a plow truck so we over looked a few little dings and a small wave or two. I have about 15 / 20  hrs. into the right side body work. about 12 for the bed, 2 or so in the cab corner, and 3 or 4 in the front fender. The door was rusted the worst of the whole truck plus it had the same crease as the bed and cab corner. I think they moved a fence post or something out of the way with that side of the truck. Drivers side had a big dent and a few small ones but not the whole length of the bed.  Plus the tops of both bed sides were all beat to crap. That was my first RAM Dodge redo. I have done collision repair, and some touch up on a few of them but never a whole refurb.

Do you have a rust free right hand door for that Ford? The one that is on it is rust free but caved in. I will straiten it if I have to but would rather find a clean original. I need a right side grill insert for it too
( 72 ), I know the 70s are not the same what about the 71? Were is a good place to find all new body gaskets, window felts etc. for them? He is putting another six back in it for now but might upgrade to a 390 later. He might be interested in the AC set up but not sure. What else do you have? It doesn't need much but if you list off the parts I might need one etc. I know another guy, his son, and brother all really into this vintage Ford pick ups. He has a red and white 68 long bed 2 wheel drive with a 400 + horse 390. He is building a 70 250 4x4 right now. He owns a junk yard that still caters to old stuff, has a hand full of 55 Chevy's etc. and has about 20 of this style trucks but none have a door or grill. His boy has a 69 black short bed 2 wheel drive, stock 390. His brother has a 70 with short bed blue 2 wheel drive with a 360 in it. Drop me an e mail. hknottwelldanbury@yahoo.com
