TODAY is a Great Day to visit our Store and order the parts you need for your truck ! ! !
I need to do this to mine as well, and need to know what I am getting myself into...Did you have to disconnect the steering column? How about clearance issues with brake and fuel lines, etc.? Where did you go for the mounts, or the best place for these? Thanks
Sounds like you do quite a bit of work on the ol rig. Its nice to see that there are people still out there wrenching on oldies but goodies.Anyways, how did the cab mount job go? I cant remember if there are two or four body mounts for the cab. But you can feel metal on metal on my truck when you go over some bumps. I know that I need to do the replacement cuz there is excess flex that you can see in the side mirrors, and I know that the bed needs them to. I have not done this before because I didnt want to get into something bigger than I thought. Plus its a daily driver and not sure how long the truck needs to be out of commission for.So no disconnect of steering column...? I have read in the forum here that you simply rig up some 4x4's and jack up the cab just enough to get them out? Dirty, did you need to loosen the tranny mounts or crossmember to do the mounts. If so, could the vibration be coming from the bolts needing to be re-torqued...?
