i have a 81 staranard cab long bed i was wondering what i would have to do to put a stepsid bed on it?

Along bed step side would bolt right on. To put a short bed on you would have to cut the frame and shorten it, not to mention all the other work brake lines, driveshaft, etc.

A long bed step side? I don't think I have ever seen one of those. That would really make my truck look different!

Don't know of any pics sites on the web for a long bed step side. I have only ever seen K20s never any K10s, C10s or C20s but years back the N.H. fish and Game Dept had a bunch K20 step sides.

They made them in 1/2T's also, there used to be on here in my neighborhood but I think the guy moved. If I see another one, I will get a picture. At one time I think there was someone on the forum that had one...

I saw one this past weekend up at the junkyard im thinking of gettin it but im not sure yet depeneds on teh price next time i go up there ill take a pic and post it on here.

The 4wd ones don`t look as goofy as the 2wd I don`t mean to offend anyone but I think this combo just shouldn`t have been joined, but thats my opinion and you know what they say about opinions!!!
