86 4X4 , Looking for some minor help on this truck .

Hey all,
recently bought a 86 4x4. It has the box for dual tanks but it only has a pass. side tank in it. it also has the switch on the dash so i really would like to find the proper tank for the drivers side.

Also
It has a solid rear window in it.
I would love to know where to find a rear slider. OR. if anyone here can give some clues or help on how to make it a window that functions like a door window. I would defiantly listen.

Also.
i was told the windows and locks dont work in the truck . I'm trying to get it to the house now it dose run but our land lord has to Approve it being here. (go figure)

But any ideas on how or what to look for  in this area would be nice also.

Also

Dose anyone make a fiber glass hood for this year truck that is not 500.00 for it?
Would love to get a cowl hood and get rid of the one on the truck it is cracking up the middle.


I believe this is all i can think of if not it is defiantly a highlight.
I know it is a silverado and i know i will need to find a new steering column. the one in there with tilt is broken so  the tilt dont lock in place on it.

Gas Tanks:  If it is a long bed, it is a 20g tank, if it is a shortbed it is a 16g tank.  we CAN get either sized for you.
Rear Window: I problably have an old sliding window for one of these that I can sell you.  For it to roll down, you are looking at some serious interior modifications.
Power accessories:  I would check fuses first and then check power at the switches.

There are fuel tanks available at different parts houses or eBay. Example-

Keep in mind that you will need a sending unit that goes in the tank to match the 86, and straps that go around the tank to hold it to the frame..

mickey-----   if you run across any tank, driver and passenger tanks are the same. tought this might help your search. now, do you have a long bed or short bed?
