Best Replacement OEM Mirrors
« on: December 16, 2007, 05:00:58 pm »
About 4 months ago I replaced the side mirrors with new ss ones from the local NAPA, and they are already pitting, and rusting all over.
Anybody know of some nice (high quality) replacement side mirrors?

If they were stainless and not chrome, they shouldn't be rusting at all..If they're NAPA branded, take em back and raise heck..if they were somthing else, contact the company and raise heck..either way, raise some heck. Polished stainless exterior pieces shouldn't rust or pit, unless they are under constant high pressure saltwater spray or somthing..

Yeah, I know that SS does rust, but this is ridiculous.  So if I return them what else do I go buy?  These were the same as the ones stocked at Schucks, Thrifty, JC Whitney, etc...

Which mirror was it?  The small one that is below eyeline with a square head or the large "elephant" mirrors?

Sorry to steal your thread, but I need the drivers door "below eye mirror".  I too want a really good quality one.  Any leads would help.

I've had 2 pairs on 2 trucks that came from advance auto parts.  they were stainless, and lasted 5+ years without a problem.

We have the "elephant" style mirror, don't have a source yet for the small one...
