the off time, what do you do?
« on: January 23, 2008, 05:56:01 am »
well winter is here for me...as well as half the country, so that means no more working on my chevys when i get bored. so with all the time on my busy little hands its model time. here is a 75 k5 (mad mudder) by revell that i almost have finished... it has custom parts every where including- 2 nos bottles, amp, sub, moonvisor, fuel cell, cowl, hood, full brake lines (from the master cylinder to the discs and drums that includes soft lines too) spark plug wires, hoses, batt, cables, so on and so forth... here are some pics... (fact-oid - time spent-about 35 hours, money invested-about $115.00, people impresed-every one that has seen it up close...)

I used to do models when I was a kid. I still have about 60 of them in boxes. I think i might have ten done, the rest are started / modified, but not finished.
Some people are like Slinkies. Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs

Sharp lookin K5!  To bad we can't drive it!!!!!  I built a whole slew of models as a kid. I used to cut and modify them into my own little creations. I have a couple around now that are built and in various stages I did with my son. It's great inside time when it's too bad to go out and play!

I just recently got my CDL A license to drive our local High School marching bands tractor trailer and have had people ask why. I say "cuz I'm gonna get me a little chimp and set out across america solving crimes and mysteries everywhere I go."
Sad thing is they look at me and don't have a clue what I'm talking about!!!!!!! And these are usually people in their 30s n 40s!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
UH-OH  I'M GONNA NEED A BIGGER BANDAID!!!!!
