Pinky isn't going to be pinky anymore. It's getting a twin turbo & air ride but that's not for a while yet.

That will be another epic build.
The 74 is going to be black again, right?

Yes sir!
I base coated the cab just to get an idea of what the final product was gonna look like but I wasn't happy with the factory ripples behind the cab above the bed. So tomorrow I'm going to get that straight then the cab will be done!

OK I've been so busy and all of this snow on top of work and everything else is killing me. Regardless I got the cab painted and it looks dang good! I took these pix with my phone so forgive the quality. More to come later....

You are upholding your reputation with this one Vile! Looks awesome.
One quick question. What was the 80 grit sandpaper used for at this stage of the process?

Thanks all... I have a bazillion hours into going over everything multiple times since it's black and good enough isn't good enough.
80 grit, probably to scratch my back...
I think it was just a few pieces I saved and threw in there. I don't like to waste.

I will hopefully be on to the bed to do the finish work next week. The doors came out nice and straight. Don't mind the disaster area

So to paint your cab you kept it on the frame but just flipped it back to do the bottom and then put it back up to do the rest? i need to do mine but right now it is completely off the truck, it seems like that would be less likely to scratch it. btw your truck is amazing!!

Yes, I had the cab on it's back to make the underside purty and to sound deaden it. When I finished that I sat it back up to finish the cab work. The cab is getting moved this weekend and I will hopefully have the chassis all set up in the next few weeks so I can start reassembling stuff. Glad you all like it.
