And here I sit so patiently
Waiting to find out what price
You have to pay to get out of
Going through all these things twice - bd

Thanks Guys,

As of tonight (despite massive hangover) I put upper control arms, ball joints and shims in. Primed the front fenders and have them ready for paint. I'm just going to plug away at it but before you know it it'll start comingt together quickly.

The Mutt - New knuckle joints, ball joints, and repacked the hubs. Gotta run the new permanent brake lines and then finish body work/paint. Then put all the goodies back in.

The 83 SWB 4x4 - well that's collecting dust for the most part. Ran the new tranny cooler lines but have to hook up the floor shifter, fuel pump and small odds and ends.

The 75 K5 is also collecting lots of dust.

How thick are those upper coil spring brackets? They don't hardly look stout enough to support much weight... look more like a shock bracket than a load-carrying spring bracket.

I'm curious, what's the logic behind the angled coil spring setup?  Are they designed that way or what?  I'm just curious.

Truck is soo nice though.  Congrats!

They're designed that way and the brackets are just as thick as the stock spring hanger brackets.

I haven't been updating this so I'll throw a few pics I had on my phone on. Right now all 4 wheels are on it sitting on the ground. I may drop the the engine and trans back in this weekend.

Your truck is a work of art. But, honestly, I'm having impure thoughts about your shop more than anything. Also, the pictures of your dog make this thread a masterpiece.

LOL - My shop is such a friggin disaster area. You used to be able to lick the floor but this project has turned the place upside down!

But it`ll be well worth it once its done though, then you got 1 nasty ride that you can be proud of once you take it on the road.I`m sure soon you`ll get out there like 1 day and say i think its time i clean this up.You`ll have your ride done before i will with mine lol..

thanks
Pat
