Capt. Kaos,
I like the red carpet in the online cat. If you say it is good quality, I won't question you at all...

I would like to know if you sell a kit (or recommend one) so that I can completely seal both doors on my truck @ a reasonable price.

Any help is always good.
Thanks.

nice work FlatBroke!  i'll be looking for your truck next time i'm back home in Montgomery.  i was gonna ask though...are you sure that wasn't a manual truck originally?  i ask because you have a skinny brake pedal, as if it had a clutch next to it when new...nice truck!

hmm...odd, every truck i've ever seen with a factory auto had a fatter brake pedal...and i've been around a lot of these...but GM did some weird things.

Pretty sure it was a factory auto.

I think the Power Co. was worried about replacing clutches a little too frequently.
It was purchased new by Alabama Power as one of there fleet trucks, Auto trans and 6-banger power plant. The only thing it has is heat. That is why I'm trying to insulate the entire cab and roof area.

FordeatinZ71,
Thanks for the compliments. As it sits right now, I got less than 600.00 in the whole truck. :o

that's awesome.  it's a cool truck.  does it have the factory option sticker on it (either in the glovebox or on the fenderwell)?  that would tell what tranny it had originally.  not saying you're lying about it, lol, i've just never seen one of these trucks with the narrow brake pedal that was a factory auto...

Thanks.

If I were to buy one, and I needed all of it.  I would get it from JCWhitney.  Their supplier has the best fit.

If you want really good quality, you can still get most all of it from the dealership.  I just got a lot of it for my Crew Cab.

Nice work, Flatbroke!  Definitely an original truck with rat rod styling.  ;D
I really like the red and black paint scheme.

I appreciate it, Flatbroke.  Got a to-do list going for my old C10, in process of collecting parts for her.  Trying to save up for a 700R4 to replace my tired TH350 tranny.  And some rust repair of course.
Your truck has definitely given me some styling ideas!
