Our 84 c10
« on: February 26, 2008, 07:44:43 pm »
Here's some pitures of dad's 84 C-10, he traded his 86 K10 for this one for better ride, better gas mileage and ease of getting in and out of. Figured I'd throw up some pics of her. It's stock 205 ho I guess, since we found out the transmission was changed to a th350 and it's been repainted twice, once in bc/cc same color I think, then the bed and passenger side painted by us after body work to fix dents. Other then that it's original 2.73 locking diff. and blue interior.

So far we bought some 15x8 wheels and 255/60 15's on them, a dash cover, cd player, amp, subs, and 4x6's and 6x9's all behind the seat. We added a sunvisor on the cab, ram air scoops and tube grille also.

The quadrajet gave us nothing but trouble so I rebuilt an edelbrock for it and done away with alot of emissions stuff. We'd like to maybe rebuild the 305, add a cam with some lope to it, like a comp 268 or the one I seen in the jegs, a crane 274h I think it said, add headers and duals. Right now it has single 3 inch with a flow 40 into dual 2.5 outs, and no cat.

So here's pics....

The floors were pretty much perfect on this thing too...

Here's underhood before...

After carb rebuild...

Thanks guys, we had the cb there in our 86 k10 that had ac and put it right back there in this one but had to cut a hole for it.

I wished I could use it for a project, but dad won't let me do much to it. So one of these days I'm gonna buy me a short bed, or trade him something for this one.

Sharp looking truck, shame its only a 2 headlight model though. I like the visor, I've been wondering about how one would look on a stock height 2wd shortbed..I'm definitely going to have to get one when funds are available. Where ya gonna mount the CB antenna? I'm going to be putting a wilson 5000 permenent roof mount on mine..

Very nice and clean truck you have there.

I wouldn't change much of anything at all on it.

I aint a big fan of dual headlights, if I had my pic I'd switch over to a 73-79 front end on it probably a 79-80 with round headlights.

I had a universal cb antenna on the roof but now I got a midland glass mount one on the back window.
