Box
« on: March 01, 2008, 07:38:32 pm »
Would this sub box fit behind my 78' C-20 seat? I would buy 2 and put one on each side and an amp in the middle. I can't measure my truck right now because im not gonna see it for a while. What are 2 10's and an amp for it also as this is gonna be my first system. I listen to bassy rap. Thanks!

If you read the descriptions a guy has one in his 85 silverado or something and it fits behind his sit without hitting.

So I'd think yes it be perfect for your truck and mine for that matter LOL.

I wished they'd give you the top measures though so you can tell how thick it is at top.

I also hear alot if you want loud bass you want a ported box.

I run a sealed 2 10's box in the trunk of my monte carlo and it's got alot of bass for rap.

Well I know 73-87 is basically the same thing but I knew they changed minor things, as far as I know they could have changed interior layout between 78 and 85. You can port a box yourself or take it to a shop to get ported. But now I need a sub/amp combo to go in those boxes. Anyone have suggestions on 2 10's and an amp? think budget.

well I bought 2 10 kicker compvr's from crutchfield they had a buy one get one free, and free shipping so it was $130 for them, and bought the amp off ebay brand new, kicker 400x1 class d amp, and I love the setup, forget how much the amp was on ebay.

Don't know if those subs will fit though, might be too depp you might need some shallow mount subs.
