It's used in the 3/4 ton and one ton applications
If that is the case, my RPO is correct, because mine is a 3/4 ton.  I am going to recount the bolt holes on the pan for a seventh time....i just don't know.  Gonna measure the length as well.
thanks don

Yes, I agree with you both.  Listen to the wise one with the answers and the common sense to go with them.

Why does the image of Yoda all of the sudden appear in my head?  Vile, you don't have long pointy ears do you?

May the force be with you.

Ok, so my 3 yr old son can count better than me.  I counted those pan bolts several times before I took the crossmember and tranny mount loose....VIOLA! another bolt showed up.

I have 17 bolt holes.  Good thing, because I bought my gasket/filter a couple of weeks ago and it has 17 bolt holes.

A 4L80E it is indeed.

I just spent the last two hours on my back replacing the gasket and filter.  I was surprised the filter is held in by NO screws or clips...just the tube stickin gup the body.

I have never seen so many wires going into a transmission before.  A 1991 model truck is new to me  ;D  Never had anything newer, nor do I care to.  I love working on these babies.

No drips!  I hate when one of my vehicles have some sort of leak.  Putting a new gasket (cork) took care of the leak.

I feel better now that there is new fluid and a new filter in place.

Thanks EventHorizon.  By the Way, I like your screen name.  I read all of Neil Degrasse Tyson's books, the physicist who's last book was called Death by Black Hole.   I have seen some of his lectures on astronomy in which he talks about the point of no return, the Event Horizon of a black hole, in which, once entered, nothing escapes, not even light.

Interesting stuff.

thanks everyone for their help on my tranny.
