C/K20 ?
« on: March 16, 2008, 05:17:29 pm »
Can anyone tell me which Chevy truck models came with
8 lug hubs ? ( 1976 )
is it directly related with suspension ?

Some web sites state that ; Chevy's only came in
C/K 10 / 15 & 20 for 72 - 81
and others post C/K 30'S !!??

Are the model names ( Custom Deluxe / Scotsdale and so on )
directly related to " option package " ?

C = 2 wheel drive, K = 4 wheel drive, V = 2 wheel drive, R = 4 wheel drive. 10 = 1/2 ton, 20 = 3/4 ton, 30 = 1 ton, All 3/4 and 1 tons came with 8 lugs. Not all one tons had bud / dual wheels.
Custom deluxe is base model, now power, Scottsdale useually had AC and some trim options, Silverado was loaded.

Just going by your name, do you have a 70 Cutlass? I have always liked the looks of that vintage. My brother had a 69 rag top when I was a kid, red with white top, and interior. That was the coolest car.

Some people are like Slinkies. Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs

Custom Deluxe, Scottsdale and Silverado are not model names, they are trim levels, so they are the options package.
C10, 20, 30 and up's were made in this bodystyle the whole run, 1973-1987(91)  This the Load rating of the truck and it is directly related to the suspension.
