dash pads

I needed a quick answer so hopefully someones listening.  I have a change to buy a new gm dash paid (light grey that i've been looking for) but they say its for an 81-87 truck, blazer, suburban. i've got a 76 chevy 1/2 ton.  will it fit?  i know the issue of the vin plate. I'm assuming there will be a hole with nothing under it. otherwise is it the same thing?  thanks for the responses in advance

It will fir your truck, I did the same thing with my '73.
