Not another brit..lol
« on: March 24, 2008, 07:44:47 pm »
Hi everyone,
Just thought i'd finally stop reading up on everyones progress and introduce me and my truck, its a 80 something k5 but the licensing clowns over here stick them on any year if they dont know how to read a vin number.
I will get around to decoding it but i've had more pressing matters to attend to so i hope you like the pics, this is my 2nd chevy truck the first being a 83' suburban (ex U.S.A.F) that needed nothing but a lick of paint to make good and removal of all the disgarded field ration packets from under the dash pad.. :-\
I've got 3 american vehicles at present...80' camaro,83'Cadillac bustleback and the k5 so i think i'm just about 1/4 way through my learning curve...lol.
Dave.

Blazer in its new cheapo paint job..!

Engine tranny and transferbox back in after rebuild.

Welcome from New England!
New Hampshire actually. That thing looks pretty solid. Do all you neighbors think your nuts for having American iron?

Thanks, its rot free as its been in storage since it came over which is a godsend from what i've seen and read, neighbours are cool as next door is my girlfriends mother so i can make as much noise as i need and the other neighbour is a bit of a hobbit so i never see or hear from him  :P
Its a bit tricky on late shifts when i have to leave at 3am and fire the camaro up but i've learnt that if i idle it up the street i dont get many curtains twitching and odd looks the next day...lol

Been there with a loud rig, and neighbors before. Still live in the town I grew up in so after 20 plus years they don't bother complaining anymore. I have calmed down a little bit, only do full throttle midnight blasts once a month or so now.

Yes the camo was done as it should be with the correct pattern but not with carc as i dont have the facilities to paint it,my younger brother is a vehicle cosmetic painter so we used his mobile spray van to do it over a couple of days....you guessed it its a Seville, not the prettiest caddy but i have a soft spot for them  :-\
