I think you have the first number wrong. It probably is 3970010, which is either a 1968 327 block or a 69-79 350 block.

Same numbers I got in my 76 what sucks with out pulling the pan dont know if its a 2 or 4 bolt

Ha, I just got one of these over the weekend...same block #. Mine was out of a 78 Longbed. I think it's a high nickel block - it has that 10/20 mark on it.

That block is a high nickel and tin content block. I have five of them in may garage.
