is it true that all front springs have a negative arch to them or arethe ones on my 87 Chevy 1/2ton just really worn out?

Since I don't know what kind of drivetrain you are talking about I am going to guess and say it is a 4x4. If so, yes they have a slight negative arch to them.

Negative arch about 1" or so to be exact, a 2" lift spring is just about totaly straight, 4" has about 2" arch to it etc etc.
