If anyone in the northeast remembered this , the iannotti brothers had a 79 suburban and they converted it into a limo, it had a full wet bar, surround sound w/ neon tubes around the 15 inch woofers.I had it one night for my 21st birthday in 1995 and man i was so hammered but had such a blast going to strip clubs, eating, getting all the lovely ladies, i wish i had a pic of it but i don't know if it still exists or not it was jet black with graphics down the sides, cant remember if it was  a dually or not, but one wild ride.Hopefully this 1 Will be painted and look wicked.

thanks

i've actually thought about taking a shortbus chassis and putting on the pickup or crewcab body and making some sort of super pickup, ala international CXT/RXT.

This, as also illustrated in the picture above, is significant for another reason:

1) the 73-91's have at least two other alternative front ends.  As you can see in the redneck limo, the hoodlines match the 73-91 cab.  Has anyone tried using these frontends on a regular pickup?

that is the front end from the heavy duty trucks like the C50, C60, C70, etc, etc for use on the farm for haulin grain or whatever you need, also used on the buses which is probably the chassis that limo is sittin on. i have a C50 and my buddies got a C50 and 60. I've always wanted to turn my C50 into a 4WD with some rockwell axles or somethin, it would kick ass imo. :P

I'd hate to drive that thing in city traffic. You'd have to turn it like a big truck.

There is an old Shawns frozen food truck around my area. What GM calls the Topkick = to a C50 or C60.
The guy put a 98 or so dually bed on it, has the flip nose etc. LPG 366, 5 & 2 power.

Was it just by coincidence, or did GM plan the body lines in such a way as the fender lines of the big trucks matched the doors/bed of the pickups/suburbans?

It was planned...had to be.  The cabs are virtually identical as well.
