Leveling rear of an 86 c10---need help!!!
« on: April 26, 2008, 10:53:59 am »
Trying to level out the rear of my 86 chevy with 2" DJM shackles. I installed the shackles last night and it looks like it is actually higher rather then lower. The spring side of the shackle is in front of the bedrail, should it be behind the bed rail instead or do I have to cut through the bedrail for it to allow clearance...Thanks for any and all replies!!!

Yes, You will need to notch the bed brace. Unfortunately it is much easier to do with the shackles removed, you may want to take them back off. By the sounds of it, you have the shackle in front of the brace, pressing against it, is this correct? If so, this would bow the spring & make the truck sit higher. Lorne
