OK I'm putting my 84 Chev short box back together... and i ran into yet another problem
! when i turn on my lights my gauges lights will not go on but my dome lights do
(no matter what the dimmer setting.) i noticed that its both the over head light and the one under the dash go on, but if i open my door the one under the dash goes out... when there on -the over head is a little dim but the one under the dash is barely noticeable its so dim... so i looked at my Haynes for a wiring reference but its so confusing, but the power for the curticy lights is orange and the one for the gauges is dk green could they be crossed or something i did have a fire but the harnesses for these two systems seems ok... oh and all the fuses are correct and good so any advice on what to look for or ways to test would be greater than great!!!
added: my neighbor pointed out that tail lights are wired in to the system also, and i found out i have no tail lights only break lights if this helps any...
