GM rally-style wheels in 8-lug available?
« on: May 30, 2008, 05:47:43 pm »
I was wondering if anyone has seen an aftermarket wheel that will fit my 8-lug C20 but looks like a stocker GM Rally-style wheel?  Can be stock size.  I have the 14-bolt GM corporate axle on the rear of my 1973 C20 longbed, wearing the factory stock wheels.  They are solid but not very stylish.  Same thing with my project, 1972 C20 Cheyenne camper-special, only its wearing the white wagon-wheel spoked wheels.  Ugh.  I'd really like the look of rally wheels without having to change hubs.

Its getting tough to find anything 8-lug GM anymore other than the white wagon-wheel spokes.

The camper specials usually had a wider stock rim. I have seen them with a trim ring and center caps from a newer truck, the kind that are held on buy plastic lug nuts that thread onto the real lug nuts. They looked pretty sharp.
Some people are like Slinkies. Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs

I suppose I could go to Stockton Wheel and get some rally wheels in 8-lug, perhaps 15x10.

Was Quoted $150ea. to widen + The Cost of Rims(even just sending in yours sounds like a hassle)+ Whatever Accessories, and Shipping/Handling a year ago...  Personally seems like Aftermarkets would be Cheaper, and you would get a Warranty with them...
