12 bolt

ok everyone in my town talk crap on me for having a 12 bolt still! i have tryed to blow it up and nothing! i mean when i had 36 inch swampers tsl's i would smoke the tires in front of every girl i would see ;D lol and nothing but it was a pozi but now it never pozis up what can i do to fix this???? did i burn up the cluches or what???

You need to rebuilt the differential.

Why would they talk crap about you having a 12 bolt? It was GM's good diff to have. Well, with the muscle cars it was. Truck 12 bolts are different but most people don't know there are different 12 bolts.

Did you like to smoke those 36's around corners, especially right turns? That'll eat up a factory limited slip nice and fast.

That's probably what did it then. Your clutches in the posi unit are most likely burnt up and are no longer grabbing. Happened in the factory Traction-Lok that came in my Mustang GT too. I didn't do a whole lot of right-turn burns though cuz I know they are hard on a limited slip. I'll tell you a secret though, 1-tire fires, especially around corners aren't impressive  ;)  Laying two nice long strips of rubber in a straight line and getting snakey while doing it is just cool though  8)

ya i got a few numbers for geting sideways lol but i have a 8 inch lift and its pretty scary lol but hey the girls like it so im down
