Well, I put this truck off for 7 years and finally got to start on it in between rain showers.  No stopping me now...

Got the front bumper, and core support all off.  Feels good.  So far no bolts have snapped or clips have broken.  I have the 4.3L sold out of it...

     What are you going to put in to replace the 4.3 ?

Zieg, have you looked into the radiator size? You might have to get a bigger one for the 5.7. And I"m not sure about the fan shroud- it might be a different size too.

Got it covered, thanks, I have a 454 radiator and fan shroud from the recently parted 87 Crew cab dually.  Either 4 headlight 85-88 look or the 89-91 set up.  Decisions, decisions...

89-91 Front end is what I've decided to go with.  Got the engine and the V-6 engine mounts off the frame.  Got the 3 speed floor shifter unhooked before the sky opened up and rained big time.  I am going to spruce up the fire wall and take care of some missing paint.

Got it back on the drive and up all the way around.  Picture is after yesterdays endeavor taken today.  Yesterday's picture was a rain out.

Sold the stock wheels and hubcaps.  Decided this one is worthy of doing it right.  I am going thru the engine since it has set for 5 years and freshen it up as needed.  I am going to try and see if my dad will allow me to store the truck in his barn so I can work on the little rust issues it has and keep the snow off of it.  I have a running driving truck now so the emphasis has moved to doing this one right.  I had to take a picture with the rally rims on it, so much better IMO
