just thought i'd start a new topic, a dumb one at that. i haven't posted one in awhile anyway. anyone here ever had a wreck and bent their frame? i have, i was playing in the rain and hit some kinda concrete wall thingy. it bent the right frame rail, the very tip of it and then a little kink in it where the frame rail gets wider under the cab. makes me feel bad i bent it some but it's long since been straightened. never could get the bumper just right. anyway am i the only one?

I BEND MY FRAME ON A CHEVY CAPRICE ON LEFT FRONT{UPWARDS} AND REAR LEFT {UPWARDS} NEW FENDERS NOR DOOR WOULD ALIGN PROPERLY.
SOME BODY SHOP FIXED IT WITH A CHIEF FRAME ALIGNER- RECOMENDED..... LOOK FOR CHIEF FRAME ALIGNER
FOR AROUND $250. - $300. THEY INSTALLED FENDERS AND DOORS INCUDING FRAME ALIGNMENT CORRECTED.

Well, with the help of a 10lb hammer and hours of fine tuning, it went from this
to this...
eventally back to this
All in less that $300. Those were the days. That tractor played an important part in frame straightening....a few yanks from the rear as the front was chained to the tree did the trick.
Boy, the things we did when we were young.

We used to put my dads roundy round car between two huge oak trees and some chain come a longs when the car got pounded to much also I had a 89 Chevy Beretta that i had to pull the front radiator support out on. Then about 2 months later a woman rearend me and totalled the car. I ended up driving it for a month before I seen a check.

Nice job, I had to do the same thing to the oldest boys blazer, TWICE the third time I said forget and I junked it.
When I did body work we made a "bulldozer" from a 8" I- beam, put a pivot at one end had 4' that stuck in the air,Put a Hyd. Ram on it, welded some hooks and wheels to it.
Then we chained a car on top of it and did whatever pulling we needed to do.

Dropped my 78 K-10 into a ditch while moving... backhow crew widened the ditch at the bottom and grass had grown over it. I went in, front end pushed right through... then the sound... screetch... whine, POP!! Got out, driver's rear tire has pushed a dent up through the fender well, pass side is nearly flat on the ground(couldn't see the white wall). I locked the hubs and put it in 4lo and hammered it(loved that 327, immediate redline) and hopped right out. More popping and whining, so I went through from the other side... seemed to straighten it out, but it needed new springs all around.
