Sport comp guages

I already have most of the mechanical sport comp guages I will need to do the full dash. I have a friend that is parting out his 87 (wrecked both ends, only interior is salvageable) and he has all electric sport comp guages.

My question, how reliable/accurate are the electronic guages? He has speedo, amp, oil, water and tranny temp and I can get them on the cheap.

I've only had mechanical in the past and have never messed with the electronics...how good are they?

Just as accurate as mechanical.
