« on: February 07, 2007, 01:39:00 pm »
Well went out side the other day ....It was 22 below 0 here in northeast ohio...Anyways i got in my truck and Pushed in the clutch...No problume ..Turned the Key..My engine would barly turn over..SO i waited a sec..Tryed it again..Saw Smoke coming out of my hood..and thure my hood scoop plug...The rubber burned completley off the Ground cables And my batter was swollen looking..So
$100 later i was good to go ..I upgraded All the battery cables frome 4gauge to 2 gauge..And replaced my battery with a lil bigger one that had alot more cranking amps

I am sure you were not the only one with battery problems during this cold snap.  All battery companies and auto stores are smiling big right now due to the business they are getting.

I had to jump start my sander this morning, it would crank but just not quite fast enough.

Some people are like Slinkies. Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs
