Nice PK!!!!! Was that thing two tone to start off with? My 79 silverado has about the same color gray with light gray in the middle with maroon interior. When I re do the exterior I was going to paint it all dark gray to match the jams. I was also going to change the interior to gray but after looking at yours I like the trim for two two tone on a single color along with the maroon interior. Again looks great can't wait to dig into mine. But the tired 350 needs to come out first and transformed to a 383.

Thanks!
Yeah mine came with the trim and wasn't a two tone.  I like my red interior, it's not as plain as the grey/tan/black you can get on the newer vehicles.
I was hoping to tackle the drivetrain first before bodywork/paint but the wreck said otherwise.  I'll be soon getting a new tranny and maybe after that a new engine, guess i'll have to be careful of the new paint... :-\

A couple of new pics.  I do still use it as a truck, just more carefully  ;D

Here's one load of leaves out of about fifteen so far for the gardens out of the yards.

We used to be able to just burn them leaves.

Now we are forced to fire up the tractor and pickup and haul 'em off. LOL

Nice pics BTW. Thanks for sharing.

beautiful truck! i love the look of the ride height difference.
i had a 80 2500 that had only 164k and a muncie 4 on the floor, the ending to that one was somebody turning right from my left lane and cutting me off, the best part is the police report showed it being his fault however being 21 is also a crime because they deemed it equal liability and the guy never even knew i was there!!
This time i'll start with a 86 c20 with 152k, unfortunately its the th400 auto :( but she is a dang fine shape for what i paid.

Hey I notice your using the   plastic trim for along the edge of the carpet near the doors.

Whats your thoughts on them?

They fit good.  the aluminum pieces look a little flashier and nicer, but after getting in and out 10 or 15 times they get all skint up and look crappy.  Also after a while they'll tarnish for lack of a better word.  the black ones stay just like they are forever.  they don't show up all the scratches from feet dragging across them.

Really a fine looking truck!! You work really paid off. Great choice on the color. Makes for one rich looking truck with the red interior.

The exhaust is just a 2.5 single setup with a dynomax super turbo muffler.

Got some pics last week after I cleaned the truck up real good.  I also took off the toolbox and it will stay off until I need it again.  I like how it looks better without it.  I had not seen it without the toolbox yet since it had it on there when I got it back from the body shop.

Heres a vid from back in feb 09  of how easy it starts cold.
