New from Oregon
« on: August 21, 2008, 10:36:50 am »
Hello all. This is the very first forum I have ever posted on. I have owned a few 73-87's in my life but I finally have the one now that I believe is most worth putting the time ,money, and energy into that I would like. (Not terribly rusted out like most I have owned). I just picked up a '77 short box 2WD with a 250 and a 3-speed for $500. I have actually owned 3 other short boxes with the 250 and 3-speed. I have a strange love for them. Right now I actually have the '77 and a '78. I am going to swap rear ends and then sell the '78. The '77 has 4.11's and just gets terrible fuel mileage for a little 250. Once I make the rear end swap, I will sell the '78. (Much to my wife's delight). Then the slow Project/Driver process begins.

Stayton, Oregon. We're about 10 miles East of Salem. Newport is about an hour and a half from us. Been there a few times. We actually have only lived in Oregon for two years. My wife and I were both born and raised near Pittsburgh, Pa. GO STEELERS!

Welcome from middle Tennessee, Bob77! Hey man, I'm 60 and my wife says the same thing-" Why do you need so many trucks anyway?"
( It's not that I need them- i just can't learn to fix them right!)  :D
