tire size?

Ive got a '76 k20 camper special with 16.5's with a 6'' lift in the future. I would like to run 12.5's on these rims. Does anyone have pics of such a combo or even bigger?

May look a little funny with that wide of a tire, and stock wheels.

You can run a 12.50 on a 8" wheel.  I prefer a 10" wheel for a 12.50 tire. As far as the 6" lift goes, I'm running 37x12.50 -15 with a 6" lift.

12.50's will work fine on a stock wheel, will look a little funny, but works. i agree 10" looks better. and not to hack this thread but, cracker, where did you get that sweet lookin grill guard?

As far as the grill guard/winch mount, that is a Warn Combo kit. For some reason, Warn decided to discontinue it...

My wheels are Ultra Roccas, 15x10. I'm not sure of the backspacing, but they do have a positive offset to them.  I wish the wheels had less backspacing (guess... roughly 5") for stability but on the road I dont have as much tire hanging out from the side of the truck.  Also, most of the mud ends up under the truck instead of on the truck anyways.  And those MT/R's can really sling it too!

Have you gotten the lift yet?  I got mine from 4wheel parts. I ordered their "value kit" with rear springs.  It was a Pro Comp kit with es3000 shocks.  Make sure you get the raised steering arm and the extended stainless brake lines. I wouldnt waste my money on a kit with rear blocks due to the axle wrap that you will end up with.  Get the springs and I think you will be more than satisfied.

The only thing Im worried about with getting the rear springs is the strength compared to whats on my truck. Its a camper special with heavy duty springs and I cant stand a truck that sags after hooking up to a trailer. Now since youve already got the kit on your truck do you have any problems with sagging and how much weight would you say you have had in the bed or on a trailer after installing the springs?

You can get the springs that are rated for a 3/4 or 1 ton. I havent gotten a ball mount yet with enough drop yet so that I can tow a trailer. As far as weight, all I have carried to amount to anything is my 4 wheeler (450lbs or so) and I didnt have any sag issues. If you did have some sag issues you could always install some helper air bags which I have used on 1 tons towing large trailers. They help out on the ride with a heavy trailer and put some leverage back on the front brakes as well.
