I'll have the truck out Tuesday for a run and will try to snap a few more pics.

Vile,
The bed's inside was shot with colormatched bedliner. The complete underside of the bed, bedsides, and the bottom of the front inner fenders were shot with the same bedliner only in black, which makes for a nice contrast to the red.

Choptop,
I bought the shell used from a guy on Craigslist. He didn't remember what brand it was in particular. However, I have a friend and his father that also have these vintage trucks with shells that they got from either ARE or Mpulse and they look and fit strikingly similar to mine.

Man, that is a beautiful resto.  I love it that you returned it to its original look.  Wow.  I hope mine looks half as good as that when I'm done with it.

15 Month project Wrap-up
« Reply #56 on: October 19, 2010, 12:15:21 am »
After putting in 226 hours of my own time, along with 3 years of parts chasing and large amounts of money exchanges for the paint and bodywork, I finally got my 79 K10 resto complete (except for some engine bay detailing, and a final undercarriage washing to remove dust and crud off of the powdercoated frame). I stuck with the original colors: Dark Carmine Red/Neutral. Sikkens base with Dupont Clearcoat (8 coats). I'm quite pleased how it turned out and once I get the last little bit of cleanup done, I'll be ecstatic.

Thanks. It's too bad my poor photography skills can't capture how well it looks in person.
