So you going to have it media blasted?....Did a great job of removing the old dash....Looks like its going to be fun to remove all that rust

well i got my doors off and now it is time to sand everything and primer everything man i hope i get a shop they say it is going to be a bad winter but i had to take all of it off because of rust.

use epoxy primer, it is impermable to water. regular primer has talc in it and soaks up water

There is no easy way that I've heard of.
Heat gun and scraper...wire wheel...wax/grease remover.
Anyone else?

Paint stripper? I used some stuff a long time ago that made it real gooey and you could wipe it off, but it took several applications. I don't remember what it was...

ok i was cleaning up my fire wall and i thought i would go ahead and unbolt my wiring harness i taged every thing so i would know where everything went and i am going to get a new harness and i might need some of this harness so what is the best way to do this can i take it a part or should i cut it and split it up?
and another thing how do you get the cable off the back of the of the parking brake?

I would keep it for later, you never know what you might need. after it is running they you could chunk it.

Still need a metal dash for your truck? I just JUST pulled off mine from my 85 last night and its sitting on the floor right now and i`m gonna be removing the spot welds from the 76 dash i got from a member here.PM me if your wanting it or IM me .
