changing rear end gears
« on: September 21, 2008, 06:28:22 pm »
I'm planning on changing out the rear end gear (2.72 I believe). Anyone know how hard it is? The truck was pushing 31 inch tires with the stock gears, and now has 36's on it. I'm not sure what size gear to put in it though. Any inputs? thanks

with 36's, i'd go with nothing higher than a 3.73

Yea, i was thinking something along those lines. Would anyone happen to know a website that would show you steps to installing a new gear?
