exterior lighting replacement
« on: September 23, 2008, 10:34:14 pm »
where can i get replacement lenses for the turn signals on my fenders? the orange ones behind the bumper but in front of the wheel. one appears new, the other is almost clear.

do they still make the old clear tail lights? not the euro ones, the actual clear/semi frosted clear ones.

my drivers headlight is dim, but not out, is that a sign its going bad, or a supply voltage issue, dont want to replace it for no reason.

for the headlight being dim....the lights get dimmer with age.  it is advisable to change any lights in matching sets, one bad-change both.  I suspect one of yours is much older than the other.

sexcellent, ill grab those after the mechanical issues are worked out.

yeah they looked exactly how the o.e.m. ones are but they were clear, if you put the wrong red taillights in, theyd look pink. its been along time since ive seen them, d.o.t. mightve declared them illegal for all i know.

You're Looking for Frosted Clear OEM Style, Non-Euro/ALTEZZA Lenses, which yes technically the DOT did declare them "Illegal" a few years back....  Way too many idiots were running them with either Clear or other Non-Red/Amber Bulbs, and causing accidents with them, so they got ganked from most Store/Site Inventories......   Usually you can find them on Flea-Bey from time to time, but they will have a Disclaimer of No Fault with Illegal Use, Strictly Off-Road Only(Alot of those idiots either attempted to sue the Store or Sites that sold them, and even the DOT stepped in with Lawsuits against some of those Stores/Sites)......  Sometimes you can Luck Out and find an Auction with "Buy It Now", but most will be a Standard Non-Reserve Style, as the Company wants to make it worth their while.....
