Most of the gas stations here in middle Tennessee have had shortages for a few days. $3.84 for regular. $4.00 for diesel.
Stewart- it looks like Chrysler WILL make it- our wonderful congress has passed a $93 million package-separate from the $700 billion- to keep the govt. going and to help the big 3 automakers remain competitive. Toyota says they want no part of a govt. loan  so they opted out (smart mgmt).

$3.17 at sam's club yesterday,  $3.30ish on the street.  Higher near the city.

$3.08 at carney's pt. NJ last thurs.

Diesel is 3.75 near my appt.

Like i said, there's no need to panic just yet;  It cost me $48 to fill up at sam's club yesterday (15 gals).  This was the truck and it usually lasts 4-5 days.  There was a line at Sams and that brought back some not-so-plesant memories.

i think it is 1979 all over again and regarding the bailout of the big 3, i think it is a bad idea;  What they need to do is fire/demote the current people who are in the styling dept.  And then either re-hire the people that worked in the 60's/70's and/or hire people with some imagination.  This, i feel, would solve their problems.

Even i could style a car better and i have little to no artistic ability.  i did some doodling at work a few months ago and came up with a few good ideas which i will scan in when i get time.

Boy, that's the cheapest I have heard in a while...must be because they don't use much gas in Lancaster County due to all the Omish using horse and buggies.

haha yea it's all the tourist who come up to stare at us. You see I don't actually have an engine in my truck it's just a rolling chassis that I attach horses too. :P
