TH350 Tailshaft
« on: October 16, 2008, 12:24:11 pm »
All of the 73-87 trucks came with a long tailshaft, 9", from the factory correct?
Or was there a difference between SWB and LWB etc... ?

Thank you

My apologies, this should have gone under the drivetrain forum and I see no delete button for posts.  :-[
I also can't spell.

No. (maybe for a 2wd)

My 4wd has a transfer case adapter instead of a tailshaft. ;D (FWIW, it's about 3 or 4") The shaft itself is less than an inch past the tailhousing flange.

Just to be safe, I'd measure.  No telling what a PO might have done.

This is not 100% truck.   Trucks generally came with 6 or 9" housings.
